In partnership with WRCJ 90.9 FM in Detroit, Sphinx produces a radio series which highlights composers and performers of color. Each one hour episode is hosted by Founder and President, Aaron Dworkin, and introduces the works of Black and Latino classical musicians to greater audiences. Episodes recount the innumerable contributions made to the enduring art form of classical music by Blacks and Latinos throughout history. Musicians in the spotlight for this program include our own Harlem Quartet, William Grant Still, Samuel Coleridge-Taylor, Astor Piazzolla and many others. The series is written and produced by Afa Sadykhly, Sphinx’s Artistic Director and Vice President of Programming.
