One of the major obstacles in a young aspiring musician’s career is access to a quality instrument. In response to this need, Sphinx established the Sphinx Instrument Fund in 2000. We connect Sphinx alumni in need of a quality instrument with world renowned luthiers and violin shops.

Sphinx and Shar Music have established an Instrument & Bow Purchase Grant program. Sphinx Alumni and Participants are eligible for up to 20% off the purchase of an instrument and/or bow from Shar Music. Contact Hans Anderson for more information.
