Sphinx Endowment Challenge!
The combined challenge of the Bauders and the Community Foundation could result in total gifts of $400,000 or more for the Sphinx Endowment, but donors must act now to bring this increased sustainability to Sphinx’s programming. Over 70 non-profits are racing to earn matching funds under the Community Foundation’s match program. Since the program is on a first gift, first match basis, Sphinx is competing to earn these funds before they are exhausted.
To take advantage of the Sphinx Endowment Challenge, please send your gift payable to “Community Foundation for Southeastern Michigan” to 333 West Fort Street, Suite 2010, Detroit, MI 48226. Note on the memo line of the check “Sphinx Endowment.” The Community Foundation match is for gifts of cash or marketable securities. Matching funds are available by the Bauders and the Community Foundation for gifts of $1,000 or more, and fund-naming opportunities are available. Pledges do not qualify for matching funds.
