Sphinx's flagship program, the annual Sphinx Competition is open to Black and Latino string musicians age 26 and under. The Competition encompasses several programs that support its participants.

Sphinx is partnering with WADL Detroit to launch a Metro Detroit-based soloist competition, Sphinx Stars: Detroit. This very special program will feature 9 finalists and a $10,000 grand prize.

The national convening around the issues of diversity in the performing arts bringing together leaders from all disciplines of the performing arts.

The Sphinx Virtuosi (formerly Sphinx Chamber Orchestra) is a conductorless ensemble comprised of alumni from the Sphinx Competition for young Black and Latino string players.
