Olivia Custodio

Director of Major Gifts


Olivia Custodio serves as the Director of Major Gifts, connecting individual donors with Sphinx’s initiatives and mission, and works closely with Sphinx's Board of Directors. She believes in building strong, genuine, and meaningful connections with philanthropists to provide an exceptional experience of gratitude and insight into the important work they are supporting. Olivia has built her career in development in the arts sector, holding positions of leadership at Salt Lake Acting Company, Utah Symphony | Utah Opera, and the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. She is deeply committed to social justice work within the arts and the advancement of equity, inclusion, diversity, and accessibility. 

Olivia holds a BFA in Vocal Performance from Carnegie Mellon University and a MM in Vocal Performance from the University of Utah. On top of her life as a development professional, Olivia is an opera singer, actor, and playwright. She studied improv comedy at Second City in Chicago and during her time in New York City, Olivia created Operation: Opera, an operatic cabaret paired with local artists' mixed media projects to help facilitate a love of opera and a deeper understanding of the importance of classical music. Olivia currently resides in Salt Lake City.
