SphinxConnect Fellowship
By applying to be a SphinxConnect Fellow, you will be considered for housing and/or transportation assistance. Fellows must attend a minimum number of SphinxConnect events (including performances and conference sessions). Fellows will receive a full pass to SphinxConnect, providing access to all activities throughout the convening, including a ticket to the Sphinx Competition on Feb. 4.
$0 (while space available, deadline: Dec. 1, 2017)

Student Ticket
Full Pass: allows access to all activities throughout the event,  including a ticket to the Sphinx Competition on Feb. 4 [Student ID will be required upon registration]
$35 (Deadline: Jan. 29, 2018)

General Admission
Full Pass: allows access to all activities throughout the convening, including a ticket to the Sphinx Competition on Feb. 4
$150 (ticket available Dec. 18, 2017 until Jan. 29, 2018)

Sphinx Orchestral Partners Audition (formerly SAQA) will provide musicians of color with the unique opportunity to play an audition for a panel representing several orchestras. The immediate aim of the experience is to identify musicians for invitation to auditions, pre-advancement at auditions and/or placement on substitute player lists. An additional immediate aim is to align participating musicians with needed support. The ultimate goal of this initiative is job placement for musicians of color in American orchestras. Applicants need not be Sphinx alumni.

Sphinx Artist Showcase

Designed to feature the talents of top diverse artists, musicians will be presented to managers, presenters, and industry leaders, and more during this special performance aimed at supporting diversity in music. Please note this is a competitive process for consideration to participate in a curated showcaseAll artists or groups showcasing diversity are encouraged to apply for this opportunity!

To apply for the Sphinx Artist Showcase, you must:

Eligibility Criteria
1. The showcase will support diverse artists and is open to all instrument categories, soloists, duos or any combination of artists comprising an established ensemble up to a maximum of 6 artists
2. Selected participants must be available to attend SphinxConnect, Feb. 1-4, 2018
3. No single artist will be selected for more than one performance. If you choose to submit multiple applications, the committee will make final determinations as to which group is selected.

Nov. 1: Showcase participants selected/notified
Feb. 2, 2018: Sphinx Artist Showcase in Detroit (selected musicians/groups will perform a single work, 6 min. max.)
