
Sphinx LEAD is a 2-year leadership program designed to evolve the industry landscape by empowering the next generation of executive arts leaders. Sphinx LEAD transforms lives through empowerment, networking, collective learning, and addressing the systemic obstacles within Black and Latino communities. A cohort of arts leaders is selected annually to participate in a comprehensive curriculum that includes leadership retreats at top institutions nationwide.
LEADers receive the following over the course of the two-year program:
Attendance at Leadership Retreats with domestic, economy-class flights, lodging, and ground transportation covered, and support for meals provided (combination of per diem and boxed/catered meals).
$4,000 towards individual professional development
Opportunity to learn and share best practices with arts leaders from across the country
Access to a network of influential industry professionals
Collaboration and support within a community of like-minded arts leaders

Applications for Sphinx LEAD are processed through our online Acceptd portal.
An ideal candidate for the Sphinx LEAD program:
Is seeking professional advancement or senior/executive-level placement in 2-5 years.
Is self-motivated, demonstrating a track record of eagerness to seek opportunities with no prompting (beyond applying for the LEAD program).
Is a great communicator, requiring little to no follow-up to complete tasks.
