Diana Flores

Costa Rican born cellist Diana Flores is an active orchestral, chamber musician, and educator currently based in Cincinnati, OH. She has performed with the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, Boston Pops, Grant Park Music Festival, Chautauqua Symphony Orchestra, and Sarasota Orchestra, among others. She has been a member of the Civic Orchestra of Chicago, and has participated in summer festivals such as Tanglewood Music Center, Pacific Music Festival in Japan, The Orchestra of the Americas, and Campos do Jordão in Brazil.

Starting in 2022, Diana has been a member of Sphinx Virtuosi with whom she was part of their album debut ‘Songs for Our Times’ with Deutsche Grammophon.

Diana is a founder and co-director of Continuo, a Cincinnati based chamber music initiative. She enjoys teaching at the School of Creative and Performing Arts, and coaching chamber music for the Nouveau Players. Her major teachers include Mihail Jojatu and Ilya Finkelshteyn, and she has studied chamber music with the Pacifica and Ariel String Quartets.
